General Description: The Department created a Restoration Plan1 for the Osborne Tire Reef (Chapter 2023-126, Laws of Florida), which includes a plan for the abatement of submerged waste tires causing direct harm to the reef and recommended methods and environmental considerations for their removal. The Contractor shall provide removal services of submerged waste tires comprising the Osborne Tire Reef that are located on sand and reef/hardbottom habitats, off the coast of Broward County, in support of this Restoration Plan. For the purposes of this Scope of Work, the Osborne Tire Reef refers to all tires on the seafloor within the bounds of two sonar-based tire surveys from 2019 and 2024.
