General Description: The Florida Dept. of Health, Bureau of Vital Statistics has available a "Standard Death File". DUP intends to use the data provided to run a name and social security number search against the records in the Unclaimed Property Management Information System (UPMIS) and identify and mark any reported owners who are deceased. This information will be utilized by the DUP staff involved in the claims process and will assist in the prevention of paying fraudulent claims and ensuring that the property is returned to its rightful and legal owner.
