Major Deliverable: The Florida Public Hurricane Loss Projection Model is housed at Florida International University (FIU). The Wall of Wind is a major component of the Hurricane Model. This one year contract is for upgrades to the Wall of Wind. Payments for Fiscal Year 2014-2015 shall be paid as follows: December 31, 2014 ($125,000), March 31, 2015 ($125,000), and June 25, 2015 ($50,000)

Non Price Justification:

Performance Metrics: Progress Reports generated as needed. OIR has the discretion to determine if the following tasks have been completed satisfactorily: Topic 1: Code Plus Testing Procedure for Wind and Wind-Driven Rain: Research Task 1a: Wind Effects on Standing Seam Metal Roofs; Research Task 1b: Wind Effects on Shingle Roofs; Research; Task 1c: Dynamic Effects of Wind Loading on Photovoltaic Systems. Topic 2: Validation of New Products that will be Patented Task 2a: High-Wind Resistant Concrete Roofing System; Task 2b: Active Aerodynamics Mitigation & Power Production System.

Financial Consequences: OIR Discretion but payment may be withheld until tasks are not completed.
