1 - ROV Video Sampling
|
Cost Reimbursement
|
| Major Deliverable: 1 - ROV Video Sampling |
| Deliverable Price: $150.00 |
| Non Price Justification: |
| Performance Metrics: During the grant period, a total of 108 units of this deliverable are anticipated. This includes nine reefs of each reef type (Figure 2) for each of the three permitted areas: Escambia East, Okaloosa C, and Bay B (Figure 1) (nine reefs x three reef types x three permitted areas = 108).
One unit for this deliverable consists of the successful completion of a sampling event as described in the DESCRIPTION OF GOODS/SERVICES in the scope of work of this Agreement under i. REMOTELY OPERATED VEHICLE (ROV) SAMPLING.
Sampling events will be in compliance with the procedures event as described in the DESCRIPTION OF GOODS/SERVICES in the scope of work of this Agreement under i. REMOTELY OPERATED VEHICLE (ROV) SAMPLING. Sampling events must include video footage of the artificial reef site and completion of fish identification, according to methods described in Patterson et al. (2014).
The RECIPIENT shall provide to the COMMISSION: scanned datasheets from each sampling event listing the appropriate metadata (date, time, personnel, site, GPS coordinates, reef structural integrity), at least one still image taken from the ROV footage, and the final fish survey data for the site. Progress report spreadsheets will be provided quarterly to the COMMISSION listing the site visit date, site location, surveyor names, and any problems experienced or unusual observations or situations during any portion of the survey.
Tabular data will be provided in a standard XLS, XLSX, or CSV format that can be readily imported into any database or spreadsheet software.
All video sampling events will occur during the first six months of the grant period. |
| Financial Consequences: If the ROV video samples are not collected, processed, or analyzed in compliance with the standards set forth in the Scope of Work, the budget amount allocated for that deliverable will be deducted from the RECIPIENT’s payment according to the number of units not in compliance. |

2 - Draft Data Analysis
|
Cost Reimbursement
|
| Major Deliverable: 2 - Draft Data Analysis |
| Deliverable Price: $13,787.00 |
| Non Price Justification: |
| Performance Metrics: The RECIPIENT shall provide a draft version of the final data analysis summary describing the project with an evaluation of the work performed and the analysis, results and benefits in sufficient detail to enable the COMMISSION to assess the completed project.
At a minimum, the draft data analysis summary shall contain the following:
1. Cover page including title, grant number, date submitted, authors, contact information, and recommended citation;
2. A narrative section describing project background, methods, results, and statistical analysis;
3. Results detailing:
a. Diffferences in reef fish and epibenthic invertebrate community structure among reef types;
b. Differences in species-specific size distribution among reef types and permit zones;
c. Correlations between invasive lionfish or invasive regal demoiselle abundance and species-specific native fish abundance;
d. Structural integrity, disposition, and orientation of refugia reef modules;
4. A discussion section to provide:
a. Conclusion and interpretation of results;
b. Comparison of results with other similar studies;
c. Possible future research questions;
d. Comparison of artificial reef materials;
e. Problems that limited the results of the project.
5. Tables, images, charts, and graphs;
6. Appendix listing names, qualifications, and assigned tasks of the survey participants for each survey conducted;
7. A tabular inventory and condition of modules monitored;
8. All raw and summarized data, along with all (if available) digital images and video;
9. The entire hard copy draft version of the final report also provided as a bookmarked Adobe Acrobat (PDF) file suitable for posting on the internet
Documentation will be an electronic standard DOC, DOCX, or PDF document providing a written narrative with methods, results, statistical analysis, and discussion. |
| Financial Consequences: If the draft report is not provided to the satisfaction of the Commission, the budget amount allocated for that deliverable will be deducted from the Grantee’s payment; If the Grantee fails to produce each deliverable within the time frame specified by the Scope of Work, the budget amount allocated for that deliverable will be deducted from the Grantee’s payment. |
