| Line Item Description: The services provided will involve enhancing and maintaining the DJJ network cybersecurity posture by identifying vulnerabilities, implementing best practices, and ensuring regulatory compliance across all digital assets and systems under minimal supervision. Job Distinguishing Characteristics This consultant will be responsible for identifying, analyzing, and responding to cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities affecting the organizations systems, data, and network. Will work proactively to assess risk, monitor systems, and implement controls that prevent security breaches. Utilize tools such as firewalls, SIEMs, vulnerability scanners, endpoint protection, and intrusion detection systems to detect and mitigate threats. Responsible for real-time monitoring of security alerts and providing regular reports on system vulnerabilities, attempted intrusions, and compliance status. Candidate will also maintain up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity trends, threat intelligence, and industry practices to continuously adapt defensive strategies.
